Clay Red

Clay Red is the color of beautiful Uganda. With clay roads that stain your shoes, and mud the will most definitely make you slip and dye your clothes brown(the only way to get it out it to scrub it in the sink- I know from experience). With Children dancing, women laughing, and fathers smiling. With people praising God, dancing, shouting, praying. With roasted corn and goat meat. With chipati, the most delicious tortilla you will ever eat, especially with sauce from your goat. It’s the color of Uganda, the place that makes me smile, makes me feel fulfilled, the place that feels like home, the place where one day I’d like to call “Home.” Clay Red is the color of Home.
